Adrian Darnyell Weston was convicted of malice murder in connection with the shooting death of Alex Tolbert.1 On appeal, Weston challenges the sufficiency of the evidence supporting his conviction under OCGA § 24-14-6 and the trial court’s denial of his motion for new trial on the “general grounds” under OCGA §§ 5-5- 20 and 5-5-21.
