OPINION OF THE COURT BY

ABE, J.

On November 29, 1971, defendant-appellant Richard Torres (hereinafter appellant) was convicted in circuit court of burglary in the second degree. He takes this appeal from the judgment of conviction and sentence entered on January 14, 1972. The appellant makes *503several contentions, but we find it necessary to discuss only one of them, for the others are clearly without any merit. The appellant’s most viable contention is that he was denied his constitutional right to the effective assistance of counsel for his defense.
