delivered the opinion of the court.

Appellant, at the age of ten years, being an inmate of the Chicago Home for the Friendless under the nameof Isabella Sharkey, was taken therefrom October 19, 1867, by Jane Atkinson, an unmarried woman of the age of forty-two, residing with her father upon his farm in the town of Todd’s Point, in Shelby county, Illinois, to her father’s farm, under the following written agreement:
