In this diversity suit we face issues controlled by Texas oil-and-gas law assisted by a thoughtful and detailed district court opinion that followed a bench trial. It is also a case with fabled Texas figures, even those of modern day. Both sides appeal portions of the district court’s judgment. 719 F.Supp. 537. Shelton challenges the district court’s denial of Shelton’s claim for underpayment of royalties for the period between July of 1973 and September of 1980. We affirm that holding.
