APPEAL FROM THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE UNITED 'STATES FOR THE DISTRICT OF MINNESOTA. This was a petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The petitioner had been convicted of a violation, of the statute of Minnesota respecting the inspection of fresh meats which will be found at length in the opinion of the court {post 318).
