This is an appeal in a civil action brought by Etienne R. Soucy (Soucy) against Armand Martin (defendant) 1 for personal injuries. Following the entry of an adverse jury verdict finding him 75% negligent, the defendant filed a motion for a new trial. The trial justice denied that motion.

Soucy, the owner of Steve Soucy Construction Company, Inc., agreed to move steel for defendant on Soucy’s flatbed tractor-trailer truck.
