Appeal by the defendant, Hiram F. The facts of this case constitute a chapter in the history of certain financial transactions, so remarkable in many of its features as to force upon the mind of one who reads the evidence the conviction that when a shrewd, adroit knave undertakes to perpetrate: a swindle, there is reajly no limit to his assurance, and that the greater the audacity displayed the easier it becomes 'for such a' person to. find a victim..
