BARNES, J., FOR THE COURT:

¶ 1. Jarvis Brown was convicted of attempted aggravated assault with a firearm and sentenced to ten years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with five years suspended, and five years of post-release supervision. He was also sentenced to an additional five years for using a firearm in the commission of the crime, to be served consecutively to the sentence for the assault offense. See Miss.
