In the year 1887 the City Bank, a banking corporation under the laws of this state, leased of one Whitten certain premises in the Boston Block, in the city of Minneapolis, for the term of ten years, terminating on May 1, 1897. In January 1896, the City Bank became insolvent, certain creditors instituted insolvency proceedings against it pursuant to the provisions of G. S. 1894, c. 76, a receiver was appointed, and an injunction was issued prohibiting the bank and its officers from transacting any further business.
