Defendant was charged with first-degree murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony (hereinafter felon in possession), MCL 750.224Í; MSA 28.241(6), and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (hereinafter felony-firearm), MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, felon in possession, and felony-firearm.
