In January 2014, Oscar Pharo III (“the husband”) filed a complaint in the Chilton Circuit Court seeking a divorce from Judith Douglas Pharo (“the wife”). Service of process was attempted on the wife on March 17, 2014; the process server indicated that he was “unable to contact” the wife on that date. On May 6, 2014, the husband filed a motion requesting that the trial court authorize service by publication on the wife under Rule 4.3, Ala. R. Civ. P.
