Following a jury trial, Kevin Broyard was convicted of armed robbery (OCGA § 16-8-41 (a)), two counts of aggravated assault (OCGA § 16-5-21 (a)), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (OCGA § 16-11-106 (b) (1)), and fleeing or attempting to elude an officer (OCGA § 40-6-395 (a)). Broyard appeals from the denial of his motion for new trial, contending that (1) the evidence was insufficient to sustain his convictions and (2) the trial court erred in failing to sever his trial from that of his co-defendant.
