BAUER, Circuit Judge.

In December 2003, a grand jury returned a two-count superseding indictment against Cedric Washington for crack distribution in Champaign, Illinois. Washington was convicted on both counts and the district court sentenced him to 420 months’ imprisonment. On appeal, Washington asserts that his conviction must be reversed due to judicial bias and improper argument by the prosecutor. Washington also challenges his sentence on the basis of United States v. Booker , — U.S. -, 125 S.Ct. 738, 160 L.Ed.2d 621 (2005). For the reasons that follow, we affirm Washington’s conviction…
