Defendant, Paul J. McCaffrey, was charged, in Lee County, in an amended criminal complaint with possession of more than 2.5 but less than 10 grams of marijuana. At the arraignment defendant waived counsel and demanded a jury trial. Subsequently, defendant conducted his own defense in a jury trial and was found guilty.
