Plaintiff, Gardner C. Coughlen, appeals the district court’s order granting summary judgment to-defendants in this § 1983 action. Plaintiff alleges that defendants, police officers Jim Coots, Mark Jump, and Daniel Farrell unlawfully arrested him, used excessive force,- and maliciously prosecuted him in violation of his federal constitutional rights and Kentucky law. Because the district court’s analysis of the validity of the release-dismissal agreement upon which it based its grant of summary judgment did not comport with Supreme Court guidelines, we reverse and…
