Judgment, Supreme Court, Bronx County (Edward Davidowitz, J., at hearing, trial and sentence), rendered April 25, 1988, convicting defendant of attempted robbery in the first degree (Penal Law §§ 110.00, 160.15 [3]) and assault in the second degree (Penal Law § 120.05 [6]) and sentencing him to concurrent indeterminate prison terms of from 5 to 15 years and from 2Vs to 7 years, respectively, is unanimously affirmed.

On November 27, 1987, defendant threatened the complainant with a knife and repeatedly demanded her car keys. A struggle ensued and the defendant punched complainant in the mouth.…
