On the 28th of November, 1798; the American ship Concord sailed from Canton bound for Philadelphia.
On the 6th of February, 1799, she was stopped on the high *442seas by the French frigate La-Prudente. The captain of the frigate found nothing in the ship’s papers to justify detention, and accordingly allowed her to proceed.
