This matter comes before the conrt upon demurrer interposed by the defendant to the bill of complaint filed by the complainant. The demurrer is general, and the following causes were assigned as its justification;
“First. That the said bill is a bill filed in a circuit court of the United States, held in and for the district of New Jersey, and the complainant has not by its said bill siiown the jurisdiction of the court, in that it has not averred or shown that the matter in dispute exceeds, exclusive of interest and costs, the sum or value of two thousand dollars.
