FIELD, District Judge.
This case comes now before the court, upon specifications filed by Marx & Co., creditors of the bankrupt, in opposition to his discharge. It is one of more than ordinary interest and im*1199portance. The petition was filed in June, 1867, very soon after the bankrupt act went Into operation, and from that day to this has been keenly contested at every step, both before the register and before the court.
