Plaintiffs-Appellants Jennifer Gasch and Tammy Gasch, as next friend to Z.G., a minor, (together, “the Gasches”) brought an action (the “Gasch claim”) against Defendants-Appellees Hartford Accident & Indemnity Co. (“Hartford”) and its adjuster Karen Frazier, like the Gasches, a citizen of Texas, alleging that Hartford improperly denied the Gasch claim for workers’ compensation survivor death benefits, in violation of Texas law.
