JAMES L. DENNIS, Circuit Judge:

Brenton Thomas Massey pleaded guilty to knowingly possessing a firearm after having been convicted of a felony, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Massey’s pre-sentence report (PSR) determined that he had three prior convictions for violent felonies or serious drug offenses. The Government sought an enhanced penalty under the Armed Career Criminal Act (ACCA), which provides that a person who violates § 922(g)(1) and who “has three previous convictions” for “a violent felony or a serious drug offense ... committed on occasions different from one another”…
