Plaintiff Margaret Williams brought this lawsuit against defendant Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. iri state court for injuries she says she suffered when she slipped and fell in a Wal-Mart store. 1 Williams asserts state-law claims of negligence and wantonness. Wal-Mart removed this case to federal court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1332 and 1411 which grant this court removal jurisdiction when the parties have completely diverse .state citizenships and the amount in controversy exceeds $ 75,000.
