Patrick Unrein appeals an order of the district court requiring him to register as an “[offender” under the Kansas Offender Registration Act (KORA), K.S.A. 2010 Supp. 22-4902(a)(7), because he used a deadly weapon in the commission of two attempted aggravated assaults. Unrein contends he entered guilty pleas pursuant to North Carolina v. Alford, 400 U.S. 25, 91 S. Ct. 160, 27 L. Ed. 2d 162 (1970).
