Charles B. Graff brought this suit in assumpsit against Earl E. Fox, Edith M. Fox and Dan Gorman. The declaration consists of one count on a promissory note executed by the defendants for $1,500, dated at Jacksonville, Illinois, February 10, 1915, payable to the order of H. J. Bodgers one year after date with interest from date at seven per cent, per annum. The note recites that it is secured by a chattel mortgage and was indorsed by the payee to the plaintiff on February 8, 1916. Defendant Gorman filed the general issue and…
