WOLLMAN, Circuit Judge.

Mike Chase appeals from the judgment and sentence entered by the district court 1 on the jury’s finding that Chase was guilty of voluntary manslaughter. We affirm.

At about 6:00 p.m. on August 23, 2004, Chase and several of his family members and friends gathered at Chase’s mother’s home in the Eastridge housing development on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
