Petitioner, Norman Marcus, brought a petition to the Circuit Court of Lake County asking that he be named guardian of the estate and person of Joshua Daniel Cohn. The petition alleged that a guardian was necessary or convenient because the mother had been sentenced to the Illinois penitentiary and the purported father denied paternity. Kathleen C. Swett was appointed guardian ad litem and represents the interests of the minor, Joshua Cohn, on this appeal.
