TATE, Circuit Judge:
Lonnie Ray Norman, a state prisoner, appeals pro se from the district court’s denial of his application for a writ of habe-as corpus. See 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Norman contends on appeal that he is entitled to relief on three separate grounds, all of which the district court rejected: (1) because his indictment was fundamentally defective, (2) because he received ineffective assistance of counsel that rendered his guilty plea unknowing and involuntary, and (3) because his conviction was based on an illegal arrest and an illegal search and seizure.
