OPINION OF

THE COURT.

This bill is brought by the assignee of John Mahard, Jr., and William Mahard, who are bankrupts, to stay certain proceedings in the state court against the property of the bankrupts. On their schedule the bankrupts returned a large amount of real estate, and also personal property; but the defendants, who are numerous, set up various liens under mortgages, judgments, and levies by execution; and these liens are brought into the state court, to be there investigated.
