Dear Representative Kleckley:
Your request for an Attorney General's opinion has been forwarded to me for research and reply. You have requested an opinion concerning whether La.R.S. 51:2247.1, which outlines a woman's right to breastfeed, applies to a church or place of worship.1 It is the opinion of this office that La.R.S. 51:2247.1 should not be interpreted to apply to a church.
