The city of Chicago, in trust for the use of the schools, instituted a proceeding in the circuit court of Cook county to condemn lots numbered from 9 to 16, inclusive, in H. C. VanSchaack’s re-subdivision of block 16 in Beebe’s subdivision of the east one-half of the north-west quarter (except five acres in the north-east corner thereof) of section 2, township 39, north, range 13, east of the third principal meridian. The petition named sixteen persons, including Frank O. Bowden and Jacob Glos, as persons interested in the premises and made them parties…
