This ease was argued and assigned for an opinion at the April Term, 1927, and comes to the writer upon reassignment.

Appellant was convicted in the Circuit Court of Jasper County of the misdemeanor of having possession of intoxicating liquor, contrary to the provisions of Section 6588, Revised Statutes .1919, as amended by Laws of 1921, page 414. His punishment was assessed by the jury at a fine of one thousand dollars and imprisonment in the county jail for six months, as authorized by Section 22, Laws of 1923, page 243.
