OPINION OF THE COURT

Memorandum.

The order of the Appellate Division should be reversed, and a new trial ordered.

Defendant was convicted, after a jury trial, of robbery in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. The charges stemmed from a narcotics buy- and-bust operation during which an undercover officer was held at gun point for 10 minutes. The Appellate Division affirmed the conviction.
