This is an original proceeding in babeas corpus instituted by tbe petitioner, Betty Beatrice Brown, for tbe purpose of securing ber release from confinement in tbe State Penitentiary.

Tbe petitioner was sentenced on February 9, 1943, by tbe district court of Oklahoma county to serve a term of two years imprisonment in the State Penitentiary on a plea of guilty to the crime of exposing a person by the act of sexual intercourse to a venereal disease.
