On August 27, 2009, a Nebraska jury found petitioner Marco E. Torres (“Torres”) guilty of two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Edward Hall (“Hall”) and Tim Donahue (“Donahue”) in Hall’s home in Grand Island, Nebraska. See State v.
