[ {We granted certiorari in this case to determine whether a defendant insurance company’s payments, pursuant to the no fault medical payment coverage provision in a commercial general liability policy, qualified as an acknowledgment sufficient to interrupt prescription for all claims arising out of an accident. For the reasons that follow, we hold that the no fault medical payment provision in an insurance policy are due and payable, irrespective of the defendant’s liability in tort.
