GETTY, Judge.

On September 20, 1984, a jury sitting in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County (Melbourne, J.) convicted appellant Julius Sylvester Bailey (hereinafter “appellant”) of first degree (felony) murder, kidnapping, robbery and relat ed offenses, rape in the first degree while armed, attempted rape in the first degree while armed, and use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence. Appellant was sentenced to life imprisonment plus 65 years. At sentencing, the court imposed two additional consecutive life sentences plus 270 years for unrelated crimes. Appellant urges…
