This is an action of assumpsit to recover the value of two diamond rings alleged to have been stolen from pi aintiff’s house. After trial in the Superior Court the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff. Defendant’s motion for a new trial was denied by the trial justice, and the case is now before this court on defendant’s exceptions.
