The object of this action was the recovery of the possession of real property. The defendants relied solely upon their rights under a parol contract with the grantor of the plaintiffs (of' which the latter had knowledge before they took title) for the purchase of the property, at the price of $800 per acre, to be paid within a reasonable time, and their continued possession, and the erection of valuable improvements on the premises in reliance upon the contract.
