¶1 Cung Ho’s and Thuy Nguyen Ho’s 14-year relationship ended when they and several others were killed in a car accident. We must determine whether the trial court abused its discretion when it allowed a party asserting a tort claim against the couple’s property to intervene in an action between their estates. We must also determine whether Washington’s law of meretricious1 or committed intimate relationships can be applied where both partners are deceased.
