In March 2006, defendant, Walter Lofton III, pleaded guilty to aggravated battery (720 ILCS 5/12 — 4(b)(6) (West 2004)) and criminal damage to government-supported property (720 ILCS 5/21 — 4(l)(a) (West 2004)). In April 2006, the trial court sentenced him to four years’ imprisonment for aggravated battery and a concurrent three-year prison term for criminal damage to government-supported property.
