This is a petition for a writ of certiorari brought by Joseph F. Garvin, a police officer of the city of Woonsocket, against James M. McCarthy, Aime J. Dulude and William A. Batchelor, comprising the Board of Police Commissioners of said Woonsocket, and William S. Preston, the secretary of said board. The petition was filed March 9, 1916, and a writ of certiorari was issued to the respondents returnable March 20,1916, at which time a hearing upon said petition was had.
