delivered the opinion of the court.

George S. Eldred brought suit against William H. Colvin to recover for money lent, and for the value of certain bonds. There was a verdict and judgment in favor of plaintiff for $10,795.83, to reverse which defendant prosecutes this appeal.

Plaintiff in his statement of claim seeks to recover two items: (1) $4,500 for money lent to the defendant June 20, 1908, and interest thereon; and (2) the par value of five Chicago Railway collateral trust bonds belonging to plaintiff of the par value of $5,000, with interest from April 24,…
