LANSING, Judge.
Aaron Louis Bitkoff appeals the district court’s denial of his request for additional credit on his sentence for time he served in jail as a consequence of a probation violation. We vacate the district court’s order and remand for further proceedings.

BACKGROUND
In 2009, in Idaho, Bitkoff pleaded guilty to burglary, Idaho Code § 18-1401. The district court imposed a unified sentence of six years, with- two years fixed, and retained jurisdiction. After the period of retained jurisdiction, the district court suspended the sentence and placed Bitkoff on five years’ probation.…
