GOLDBERG, Circuit Judge:

For the second time in as many years, appellant Henry Williams comes before this *506court challenging his federal extortion conviction.1 In this appeal, our attention is focused upon two important rights afforded criminal defendants: the accused’s right to know the nature and cause of the government’s accusations and his right to be provided with the information necessary to the preparation of an adequate defense.
