The appellant was found guilty of the offense of “Theft of Property” - Ark. Stat. Ann § 41-2203 (Repl. 1977) — having a value in excess of $100.00, by the court, sitting without a jury, and appellant was sentenced to the Department of Correction for a term of three years.

Section 41-2203, in relevant part, provides:(1) A person commits theft of property if he:(a) knowingly takes or exercises unauthorized control over . . . the property of another person, with the purpose of depriving the owner thereof;(b) Theft of property if a class C felony if:(i) the value of the…
