The appellants are the father, mother, brothers and sisters of David Jefferson, deceased, and they bring this suit against the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad Company, and Forest Waldrop who was on the occasion complained of acting as a patrolman and special agent of the railroad company and charged with the duty of guarding and protecting its property on the railroad’s premises, and the plaintiffs seek by their suit to recover damages for the fatal shooting of the said David Jefferson by the said Forest Waldrop at a time when the latter was engaged about his appointed duties of…
