POWERS, Justice.

Relator Leslie Lundell petitions this Court for a writ of mandamus, directing the Honorable J.F. Clawson, judge of the trial court, to take certain actions in a child-custody dispute between Lundell and his former wife, Barbara Lundell Johnson. Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann. art. 1824 (Supp. 1985). Specifically, Lundell requests that we order the trial court to: (1) vacate its orders entered previously in the cause; (2) dismiss Johnson’s cross action affecting the parent-child relationship; and (3) issue a writ of habeas corpus directing that Johnson return to Lundell a minor child of…
