In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for professional malpractice, the plaintiffs appeal, as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (McCarty, J.), entered June 29, 2001, as granted the defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing the second and third causes of action and denied their cross motion for leave to amend the complaint, and the defendant cross-appeals from so much of the same order as denied that branch of its separate motion which was for an award of an attorney’s fee and to impose a sanction.
