Trevor Dixon appeals from his conviction of burglary in the second degree, arguing that his due process rights were violated through prosecutorial delay. We reverse.

*223On February 19, 1986, a residence in Renton was burgled by two young men. They were observed entering the house by neighbors, who called the police. The police observed the men leaving the house and gave chase. One of the men, Danton DeMarr, was apprehended. The other, Trevor Dixon, was recognized by Officer Peters from prior contacts, but was not apprehended at the time.
