_jjln this medical malpractice case, Defendants appeal the judgment of the trial court granting summary judgment in favor of Plaintiffs1 on the issues of liability and damages. For the following reasons, we reverse.

FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

Edmund Leday presented to the emergency department at W.O. Moss Regional Medical Center (Moss Regional)2 on November 2, 2006, and was diagnosed with *1255congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema.
